Born in
Tehran, Iran, Salar Motahari's photographic career started at an age of
seven, encouraged by his father with a Canon FtB Single Lens Reflex
camera. At the age of 19 he purchased his first DSLR, and the rest is
history. Salar currently shoots with a Canon 20D.
Specializing in emotive photography, Salar photographs subjects in a
means of unveiling a unique intrinsic element. In a belief that
individuality exists in every form, Salar attempts to visualize that
element and capture it on film, hence Dynamic Perceptions
Photography.
Salar is
currently working towards his graduate degree in Human Security and
Peacebuilding at Royal Roads University in Victoria, BC. Upon
graduation, Salar will pursue a PhD in Middle Eastern Civil Society, and
consequently work towards the development of human security in conflict
zones. Photography is the persistent heartbeat in which critical
thinking and unique perspectives are spawn.
Based in
Vancouver, BC, Canada, Salar also shoots in Victoria, BC, and London,
UK.
