Modern Worship 2006-06-03

Throughout history, humans constructed magnificent and richly decorated temples, palaces and theaters to celebrate civic power and pride, or offer thanksgiving to the patron deity of a city for a victorious battle. Today, we build grand pretentious structures to worship money and accumulate wealth. What was historically a self-less act of praise and worship for an external/supernatural being, has now been turned into an egotistical and avaricious practice for the self.
