So my Africa expedition is finally over. This image was captured at the Dubai International Airport, en route to London, UK. The hump on the left is a completed terminal, and the construction on the right is part of a US$3 billion airport expansion project. When complete, the airport will increase its annual capacity from 22 to 100 million passengers--essentially securing for itself the status of ‘largest airport in the world.’ In addition, Dubai is set to receive the first A380 (800 passenger airplane!) in 2007. In less than 4 years, Dubai will certainly become the hub of world travel.
